This nearly new pristine F150 Lightning is one of the best vehicles I have ever owned! So why am I selling it? I bought this truck new about 2 months ago to use on the Turo car sharing platform. A couple of days ago, Ford issued a safety recall, and I can not share this vehicle on Turo until the recall issue is resolved. The solution is estimated to take 4 to 9 months. Ford notes the rear back up lamps MAY have micro cracks which COULD allow water to enter and could short the back up lamps. Mine work fine and there is no evidence of condensation in the lamps. I can not see or feel any cracks in the lenses.
In the meantime, Ford has put a hold/ do not sell on all F150 Lightnings built before 3/28/2023 with dealers. This may be one of the few F150 Lightnings you can actually purchase, since as a private seller I am not bound by the dealer restrictions.
I have had a reservation on an F150 Lightning since May 21, 2021, two days after reservations opened. My reservation was just built and should be at the dealer within 60 days, and I will take delivery if I sell this one.
As to the truck itself, the smooth ride, Bang and Olufsen sound system and whisper quiet cavernous interior make this the ultimate road tripper. The truck has $3000 of paint protection film on the front bumper, windshield, rocker panels and front half of the front hood. The truck also has a locking soft tonneau cover, a spray in bed liner and Ford Pro Power on board. I have charged other EV’s with this truck! Portable 110/240 40 amp charger and new in box Ford 80 amp wall charger included. Onboard weight scale, Max Tow Trailer package, and many other amenities. Several of these features have been deleted from the 23 models due to chip shortages.
